Position: Vice President, Institutional Equity Sales

About the Position:

The Vice President (VP) has a vital role in representing the firm within the financial industry. Tasked with driving revenue growth, relationships and opportunities, the successful candidate will need to have the ability to work efficiently within a fast-paced environment.  The VP will also proactively maintain and foster current client relationships and develop new client relationships converting prospects into revenue generating accounts.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Prospect and qualify new sales leads
  • Schedule and conduct meetings and presentations with prospects
  • Create, plan, and deliver presentations on company services
  • Track all sales activities in company CRM system and keep current by updating account information regularly
  • Creatively develops and implements short and long term sales strategies to achieve revenue goals
  • Effectively identify, develop and cultivate new client relationships with institutional asset managers and various trustees of pension funds.
  • Proactively maintains and manages current client relationships by frequently calling and visiting  with clients therefore increasing trade activity
  • Communicate customer and prospect requirements to appropriate departments
  • Maintain a well-developed pipeline of prospects
  • Develop strong, ongoing relationships with prospects and customers
  • Meet and/or exceed sales targets and quotas
  • Coordinate with other team members and departments to optimize the sales effort
  • Communicates all relevant and critical information to management in a timely manner

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent related experience
  • 2-4 years of industry related sales or account management experience
  • Proven ability to meet and exceed sales quotas
  • Proven track record of successfully managing customer relationships
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Highly self-motivated and competitively driven
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office tools
  • Working knowledge of CRM systems
  • Possess thorough knowledge of equity financial markets
  • Travel required, up to 40%
  • Bi-lingual and multi-lingual preferred

Required Licenses:

  • Securities Industry Essentials Exam (within 3 months of employment)
  • FINRA Series 7 (within 3 months of employment)
  • FINRA Series 63 (within 3 months of employment)

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively communicate internally and externally

  • Must be a team player and be able to work cohesively with management, colleagues and staff
  • Works under minimal supervision
