The VP role is to maintain and cultivate existing clients therefore increasing the volume of trades with the company. The VP is also responsible for developing new client relationships by attending and networking at various events ultimately resulting in converting prospects into revenue-generating accounts. Also, the VP executes and accurately trades on behalf of their clients.The VP is accountable for monitoring their business and attaining or exceeding individual annual revenue goals.Education and Work ExperienceMinimum of five (5) years of industryBachelor’s degree preferredRequired Licenses & CertificatesSeries 7Series 63Series 55Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesCreatively develops and implements short and long term sales and trading strategies to achieve revenue goalsEffectively identify, develop and cultivate new client relationships with institutional money managersProactively maintains and manages current client relationships by frequently calling and visiting with clients therefore increasing trade activityProvides written quarterly updates on their business providing information on new clients, existing clients, potential clients and overall percentage of revenue goalRegularly monitors and conveys order flow, trading ideas, market color, news and data on the current financial market to clientsEnsures trading orders and procedures are properly executed in timely mannerDeemed as a resource to institutional money managersMonitors market information and stock price fluctuations throughout the dayProvide creative and viable solutions to clients needsPro-actively shares ideas with other traders and research department to maximize exposureEfficiently troubleshoot issues and/or problems in a timely manner; seek guidance if neededUtilize the Client Resource Management system to organize and effectively manage client relationshipsCommunicates all relevant and critical information to management in a timely mannerAll other duties as assignedKnowledge, Skills & Abilities RequirementsPossess thorough knowledge of financial markets, equity operations, trading strategies, settlements, etc.Proven ability to make real time trading decisions weighing complex circumstances under considerable time pressureHas an established and strong book of business with solid buy-side relationshipsSelf-motivated, disciplined, assertive and able to work independently in a fast paced, competitive environmentStrong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively communicate internally and externallyMust possess the highest level of integrity, strong analytical skills and critical thinking skillsMust be a team player and be able to work cohesively with management, colleagues and staffAble to occasionally travel (local and domestic) to client meetings and eventsProficient computer skills using various electronic trading systems and algorithmic trading platformsTo apply for this position, please forward a copy of your resume to firstname.lastname@example.org.
