Mr. King joined Cabrera in 2006 and now heads the Public Finance Banking Group.

Mr. King manages Cabrera’s growing team of public finance bankers, associates and analysts. In this capacity, Mr. King is responsible for new business origination for all public finance offices. In addition, Mr. King has overall responsibility to assure that client service standards are upheld and that the firm is in compliance with all SEC mandates.

Mr. King has extensive experience in government finance. Prior to joining Cabrera in September of 2006, he served as the Deputy Comptroller and Debt Manager for the City of Chicago. Over the course of his 13-year career with the City, Mr. King had the privilege to close dozens of bond deals for the City representing every credit type.

Mr. King’s background in governmental finance and budgeting has shaped the philosophy of our Public Finance operation. Our first goal is to find ways to help our public finance clients perform their jobs better and be more productive. We find that to the extent the banking professional understands and is supportive of the role of the public administrator, an opportunity is created for the firm to play a larger role with that government going forward. This service-oriented long-term approach is the hallmark of our operation.

Prior to joining the City, Mr. King worked as a corporate trust administrator at Continental Bank.

Mr. King received his Masters of Management from Northwestern University and a BA in Anthropology from Knox College.
